Chloë Butterworth
Cello Teaching
Whilst doing her degree at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire she took training in pedagogy and gained a 1st in the subject. Chloë has 10 years of teaching experience, with ages ranging from 7 to 90.
As an autistic musician, Chloë is especially keen to hear from neurodivergent students that would otherwise feel left out in the music space.
I got so lucky finding Chloë to teach me ‘cello. She is dedicated, professional, patient, supportive and encouraging. I really look forward to every lesson and somehow her teaching style makes me want to practice!
What really hits home for us as parents is, both children now picking up their cellos at home and practicing, largely unprompted, just a reminder occasionally and off they go. We can hear the improvement in how they play. We don’t have to wrestle and bribe them to go for lessons, they look forward to it. Nothing beats brewing a coffee in your kitchen with the sound of live cello music played by your children vibrating through the house. Most important of all, they are happy. Thank you Chloë.
Chloë is a very patient and adaptable teacher, able to teach in ways that play to strengths of different pupils and help each of us shine in our own way.
